Module DescriptionsModule 1: OverviewIn this Module you will examine some of the fundamental principles of Administrative Law including the difference between merits review and judicial review and consider the jurisdictional divisions between the Commonwealth and Victorian State systems of review. Module 2: The Commonwealth system of reviewIn this Module you will look at the issues that arise when a client is faced with an adverse administrative decision made under Commonwealth legislation. You will write a letter of advice to the client, a statement of issues for a conciliation conference at the AAT and write an outline of submissions for the respondent for the final hearing. Module 3: The State system of reviewIn this Module you will consider the avenues for reviewing administrative decisions made under Victorian legislation. You will write a letter of advice to the client, draft an affidavit in support of an application to the Supreme Court and consider the possibility of making an application under FOI legislation. |
