Faculty of Law Re-enrolment 2009For information on re-enrolment, come to the Information Session in L3 on Wednesday 8th October at 1:00. All undergraduate Law students, including combined degree Law students MUST re-enrol via WES for the 2009 academic year (Sem 1 and Sem 2 ) between 13 October and 24 November 2008. YOU MUST ENROL FOR BOTH SEMESTER 1 AND SEMESTER 2, 2009. If you are currently enrolled in a concurrent degree program you must re-enrol seperately for each course, according to each faculty's re-enrolment dates. LATE ENROLMENT- If you have not re-enrolled by 24 November you may do so between the 25 November to 22 December 2008 but a $110.00 late fee will be applied. If you do not re-enrol within this period you risk losing your place. VERY LATE RE-ENROLMENT - If you have not re-enrolled by 22 December 2008 you need to submit a Reinstatement of Enrolment Request. The Faculty will determine if there are any places still available for you to enrol in 2009. If you are permitted to re-enrol you will incur an late fee of $110.00 . Changes to EnrolmentPlease note that you will not be able to vary your enrolment from 23 December 2008 to 11 January 2009. Go to Changes to Enrolment for further information and related dates. Semester 2 ResultsSemester 2 results will be published on 28 November 2008. If you find that you have failed to meet the pre-requisite conditions for your 2009 units or course after results publication, you must amend your enrolment accordingly. Course AdviceMAKE AN APPOINTMENT WITH A COURSE ADVISOR! General course advice is available at the Student Services counter. Should you require additional assistance, you are invited to make an appointment with one of the Student Services course advisors. In order to secure a time slot, please contact Student Services via phone (03) 9905 3300 or email enquiries@law.monash.edu.au. **RESPONSIBILITY FOR COURSE ADVICE** Students are advised that, while the faculty will endeavour to give every possible assistance and advice concerning unit choice, the onus is on students to ensure that units selected meet the degree regulations and requirements. This is not the faculty’s responsibility and the faculty does not take any responsibility for any error in unit selection. For further information students should refer to the online Handbook IntermissionStudents who have been granted intermission for the 2008 or Semester 1 2009 academic period MUST re-enrol during the re-enrolment period. Currently enrolled students wishing to take intermission from their studies in 2009 should apply via the Web Enrolment System (WES) by 22 December 2008. International Students - ImportantIn accordance with theESOS Act 2000, International students MUST be enrolled in a minimum of 24 points of units in each semester. If you do not enrol in 24 credit points in both semester one and semester two you may be in breach of your student visa requirements and may be reported to DIMA. If you are considering enrolling in less than 24 credit points in a semester then you must first submit an Application to Underload form to Student Services for consideration. GraduationIf you have successfully completed the requirements of your degree in 2008, you will need to apply to graduate by 30 November 2008. To complete your application go to https://my.monash.edu.au/wes/ Course TransferIf you wish to transfer to another course in 2009, you will need to continue your re-enrolment in the exisitng course and lodge a Course Transfer Application form with the Faculty offering the course. If you are successful, you will then transfer to the new course and enrol accordingly. TimetableThe 2009 timetable will be available on the faculty website from early October 2008 and can be viewed via the Monash University Timetable System (MUTTS) by 13 October.
