Dr Rob McQueenProfile | Research | Curriculum Vitae
Associate Professor Professional ProfileRobert McQueen has a long history of teaching and researching in the ares of corporate law, banking law, legal history and law postcoloniality. His career has spanned appointments at a number of Australian universities including the University of Melbourne, Deakin University, Griffith University and Monash Law School. He was also the Foundation Head of School of the Victoria Law School in 2000 and has been both Dean and Head of School at Griffith Law School. His recent book, A Social History of Company Law in Great Britain and the Colonies, Ashgate (2009), has been favourably reviewed both in Australia and overseas by leading academic figures in both legal history and corporate law. Rob Mcqueen is currently president of The Australian and New Zealand Law Society Association and a council member of The Institute of Postcolonial Studies. He has held visiting positions at a number of leading overseas universities including LSE, University of Kent, UBC, U Mass, Amherst and the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
