Professional Profile

Rebecca’s expertise spans both information technology and law. Before utilising her first class honours degree in law to work as a lawyer in public and then private practice, she worked as a technology consultant for a number of top organisations in Europe and Australia.

Her doctoral thesis, The Code/Law Collision, considered the way in which P2P providers have attempted to manipulate software to effectively code their way out of liability for their users’ copyright infringements. She is the author of a number of international and national publications on the subjects of copyright and global technology regulation.
