Grants and Commissions

2008: Legal Services Board of Victoria small grant ($34,000) 'Reforming Judicial Review in Victoria'. The project examines the framework for judicial review in Victoria and considers whether the Administrative Law Act 1978 (Vic) has been successful and whether it ought to be reformed or repealed.

2004: Australian Research Council Discovery Grant ($298,000).
Project Title: 'Religion and Governance in India c.1000-2000'.
This project examines the relationship between religion and government in India over the last millennium by use of case studies of specific issues that are pursued over an extended period. The research team comprises Assoc Professor Ian Copland and Dr Ian Mabbit (School of Historical
Studies, Monash Univ) Dr Asim Roy (School of Historical Studies, Univ of Tasmania) and Dr Adam Bowles (Research Associate, School of Historical Studies, Monash Univ).

2004: Monash Publications Grants Committee ($4,000).
Project Title: 'Law and Government in Australia' (forthcoming, Federation Press, 2005).
This is an edited volume of papers on public law in honour of Emeritus Professor Enid Campbell.
