Professional Profile

I was admitted to practice law in 1978 through the Articled Clerks Course. I am a barrister and solicitior of the Supreme Court of Victoria.

I initially practised with the then Victorian Government Solicitor who had a wide litigation, conveyancing and commercial practice. In the early 1980,s to 1986, I was a sole practitioner in Broadmeadows. In 1985, I moved into the Legal Aid Commission becoming the Deputy Director of the Family Law area and later, the Director. along with all other senior staff, I was retrenched  in 1996. I was then in my own practice before joining Monash.

As I direct students in practical aspects of Family Law, my expertise is in that area. I also have considerable knowledge of Child support legislation.

I am a night manager at Eastern Community Legal Centre and volunteer solicitor at Box Hill Citizens Advice Bureau.
