Grants and Commissions

2009: United Nations Food and Agriculture Organisation commission to review the international regulation of nanotechnology use in food (with D Bowman and G Hodge) $US20,000

2007: Australian Department of Industry Tourism and Resources commission to review the effect of technologies on all major federal regulatory schemes (with D Bowman and G Hodge) $70,000. The review highlighted the degree to which health, safety and environment (HSE) concerns raised by a range of nano-applications would be covered by the relevant regulatory regimes and identified possible regulatory gaps. The project was one of the first in the world to have so comprehensively reviewed current regulatory frameworks in relation to nanothechnology.

2005: Nanotechnology Victoria Ltd funded research into nanotechnology regulation (with a Centre for Regulatory Studies team) $40,000
