Dr Ludlow practised as a solicitor in private practice for many years specialising in commercial and intellectual property law before joining the academic staff at Monash University. Whilst working for the Faculty she continued to practise law part time as a corporate solicitor and then in a law firm, specialising in intellectual property law and the preparation and review of documentation relating to research and development and the commercialisation of scientific discoveries.
