Professional Profile

John Glover has been with the Faculty of Law full-time since 1990 and has been an Associate Professor since 1998. He was also a sessional tutor during 1985-86. John has practiced as a Barrister with the Victorian Bar specialising in taxation and commercial law. His research interests include equity, trusts, tax, tax policy, commercial fraud and insolvency and he has produced two sole-authored monographs, 14 chapters in books and over 20 refereed journal articles. Furthermore, John has made numerous media appearances in connection with taxation, corporate law and matters involving trusts, wills and estates.

John's recent re-appointment to the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal will see him involved until January 2009. Further community services that John is involved in include the Australian Treasury; the Australian Senate Standing Committee on Employment, Workplace Relations and Education; the Victorian Department of Justice; the Republic of South Africa: Coordinating Research Institute for Corporate Law; and the Lions Club of Melbourne, Inc.
