Lecturer Professional ProfileFay Gertner graduated from Monash University in 1983 with a BA/LLB. After completing Articles and one year in private practice, she went on to be an associate to Mrs Joan Dwyer of the Administrative Appeals Tribunal. She then worked as a solicitor with the Australian Government Solicitor’s office in Melbourne, focussing on administrative law and civil litigation. After volunteering at the South Eastern Centre Against Sexual Assault/Springvale Monash Legal Service Joint Clinic (SECASA/SMLS) as a supervisor, Fay commenced employment in the Law Faculty at Monash University. Fay taught in the Professional Practice Unit. This involved the delivery of seminars and tutorials as well as direct supervision of students working in the clinic at SMLS. After a short break, Fay returned to teaching Professional Practice at Monash Oakleigh Legal Service (MOLS). Fay was appointed as Director of MOLS in 2004.
