Damian Knowles graduated from University of Melbourne 1967 with an LLB. He then moved to the UK in 1968, completing the Solicitor’s professional examinations in February 1969. Damian was admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales in April 1971. He was employed as an assistant solicitor in firms in Reading and Devon before joining Amery-Parkes, then a national law firm with a heavy emphasis on personal injury litigation particularly on behalf of members of the Automobile Association, to whom the firm were official solicitors, in 1974. Damian became an equity partner in the firm in 1977 and remained there until retirement as senior partner in 2001.
