Grants and Commissions

2002: $47,000 Melbourne-Monash Collaborative Committee Joint Courseware Development Grant for the Development of Legal Ethics in Context on-line exercises in the two major substantive subject areas of Corporations Law and Civil Procedure (with Camille Cameron)

2001-03: $96,000 First Chief Investigator, ARC Large Grant The Development of New Lawyers Values (with Stephen Parker and Josephine Palermo)

1999: $400,000 over 3 years, 2000-03 and continuing at $100.000 pa. Commonwealth Attorney General - National Clinical Initiative Grant. This grant has led to the establishment of the nationally acclaimed Family Law Assistance Programme (FLAP), based at Monash-Oakleigh Legal Service, which matches Monash law students on a 1:1 basis with the many unrepresented persons seeking a hearing in the Family Court. FLAP is achieving a high resolution rate in those cases, setting a benchmark for the Court.

1998: ARC Small Grant ($14,000) to investigate the values of Monash graduates in Law with particular attention to the relationship between the clinical programme and the development of those values.

1993: ARC Small Grant ($10,000) to investigate the nature and extent
of client dissatisfaction with the Victorian legal profession.
