Monash Law School Students Publication Prize

The best annual research publication published by a Monash law student is recognised through the Student’s Publication Prize.

Student eligibility

At the time of the publication, an eligible student must have:

  • been enrolled in any degree program offered in the Faculty of Law, Monash University; and
  • undertaken the research toward the publication as part of that program.

Publication eligibility

The publication must

  • meet the criteria for 'research' as defined by the Commonwealth Department of Innovation, Industry, Science and Research (DIISR);
  • be published in one of the DIISR categories of publications: book (A1), book chapter (B1), fully refereed journal article (C1) and fully refereed conference publication (E1);
  • be included in the Faculty’s annual Research Publication Collection for the appropriate year.
  • be solely authored by the eligible student.

Selection process

All eligible publications will be considered by a selection committee.  The latest round for this prize is to consider publications which were published during 2011.  Please see 2011 guidelines for further details.  Prize winners for 2011 will be notified by the Faculty Research Office by December 2012.
