Mr Richard Naughton
Special Counsel, Deacons
Richard Naughton is a special counsel at Deacons and practises exclusively in employment and industrial law. Before moving into private legal practice, Richard was a senior lecturer in the Faculty of Law at the University of Melbourne. He has taught a range of labour law units in the Monash postgraduate program as well as employment and industrial law units. Richard is an associate of the Centre of Employment and Labour Relations law at the University of Melbourne. He is a member of the editorial board of the Australian Journal of Labour Law and the Australian Labour Law Association and has published widely in the field of employment and industrial law. Richard is a co-author of Australian Labour Law Cases and Materials (4th ed), a leading text in the area. Richard is a member of the Postgraduate Advisory Panel for the Workplace and Employment Law specialisation.
