Mr Mark Hayes
Partner, Maddocks
Mark Hayes is a partner in the Public Law group with Maddocks, and was the firm's Partnership Chairman between 2005 and 2007. Mark practises extensively in legislation and common law matters which are specific to local government. He works with clients in matters dealing with administrative law, contract law and the law of torts. Mark has been successfully involved in a number of landmark cases, and is at the forefront in advising Victorian councils on issues arising from the post-restructuring era. Mark also works closely with metropolitan, rural council and other statutory body clients on finance, rating (including special rates and charges), governance and liability issues.
