Professor Bernt Hugenholtz
Director of the Institute for Information Law, University of Amsterdam (IViR)
Bernt Hugenholtz is Professor of Law and Director of the Institute for Information Law at the University of Amsterdam, where he teaches courses in copyright law, industrial property law and international copyright law. Prof. Hugenholtz is a member of the Dutch Copyright Committee that advises the Minister of Justice of the Netherlands, and has acted as a consultant to the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO), the European Commission, and several national governments. Since 2003 he has been a deputy judge at the Court of Appeal in Arnhem. Professor Hugenholtz is General Editor of the Information Law Series, published by Kluwer Law International. and has written numerous books, studies and articles on topics involving copyright and information technology.
