Andrew Monotti is an Honorary Associate with the Monash Law School. He has been a partner in the Melbourne office of Mallesons Stephen Jaques since 1988, where he specialises in competition law. He graduated with honours in Commerce and Law from Melbourne University, where he also obtained his Master of Laws in 1980. He has co-lectured in competition law in the Monash Law School postgraduate program for a number of years. He specialises in transactions, Australian Competition and Consumer Commission approvals of mergers and acquisitions and advice and compliance programs concerning competition law, including national competition policy reforms. He has been involved in the competition aspects of significant Australian and international mergers and acquisitions in various industries, including petroleum, paper, electricity, pharmaceuticals and minerals.
