Graduate Diploma in Law (Workplace and Employment law)

Course structure

This course is comprised of four coursework units (at least three in the area of workplace and employment law).

If students do not hold an undergraduate degree in law from Australia, one of the four units must be Australian legal system. This unit can be counted towards the specialisation if students are completing a graduate diploma by specialisation.

Course duration

Six months full-time or up to two years part-time study.

Course intakes

Semester one (commencing February): Applications close 31 January
Semester two (commencing July): Applications close 30 June

Entry requirements

Applicants should hold an undergraduate degree in any discipline or equivalent qualification. In the absence of holding a Bachelor of Laws degree or a Juris Doctor, applicants must have a minimum credit average and significant work experience in an area related to the course.

Teaching locations

The majority of units are taught at the city-based Monash University Law Chambers located in the heart of Melbourne’s legal precinct at 472 Bourke Street, Melbourne.
