Future fee adjustments

For future years of your course, Monash University reserves the right to adjust annual tuition fees, however the university undertakes that any adjustment factor will not exceed 6% per annum and will be applied on 1 January each year for that calendar year.

FEE-HELP

Australian citizens and holders of permanent humanitarian visas enrolled in an accredited postgraduate award program can choose to pay their tuition fee in three different ways:

  • Pay the full tuition fee up front
  • Receive a FEE-HELP loan for the full tuition fee (up to $50,950)
  • Pay a portion of the tuition fee up front and receive a FEE-HELP loan for the remainder of the tuition fee

FEE-HELP replaced the Postgraduate Education Loan Scheme (PELS) in 2005 and allows students to borrow up to $50,950 in tuition fees (this amount is indexed each year). Recipients then make loan repayments through the Australian taxation system when their annual income reaches the minimum threshold.

Who is eligible?

Australian citizens and holders of a permanent humanitarian visa enrolled in an accredited postgraduate program are eligible for FEE-HELP assistance. FEE-HELP is not available to permanent residents, New Zealand citizens and holders of other permanent residence visas.
