PDLP teaching staff

The PLDP program is led by Associate Professor Gaye Lansdell, who has many years of experience as both a practitioner and an academic in a number of jurisdictions. She was also the Director of the Articles Training Program in Western Australia – a practical legal training course run in conjunction with articles and compulsory for those seeking admission to practice.

All Monash PDLP teaching staff have substantial experience in both professional legal practice and teaching. Their collective experience is drawn from a number of jurisdictions and spans private practice, major corporations and government instrumentalities. The teaching staff includes former barristers, solicitors, in-house corporate counsel, partners of law firms, sole practitioners and government legal officials, with many still holding ties to professional practice. The main advocacy component of the course is run by Professor The Honourable George Hampel QC in conjunction with the Australian Advocacy Institute located at the Monash Law School.
