2008 Annual Dinner

The 2008 Annual Dinner was held at the Provincial Hotel in Fitzroy on 20 November 2008 to celebrate the launch of Volume 34(1) of the Monash University Law Review.

Guest speaker, the Honourable Justice Kenneth Hayne AC of the High Court of Australia, gave a memorable speech recounting the numerous changes in the comportment of the legal profession and anticipating challenges that might have to be overcome in future by Australian law graduates and law journals.  

Other speakers included Professor Arie Freiberg, Dean of the Law Faculty, Professor Marylin Pittard, Faculty Adviser to the Monash Law Review, and Editors Cameron Miles, Albert Ounapuu and Merav Bloch.

The dinner was attended by many distinguished members of the legal profession.
