Elective units

Once you have completed 72 credit points you may enrol in elective units.

The following units have been created specifically for LLM(JD) students:

In addition, you may take units from the LLM timetable other than LAW7436 Introduction to Australian Legal Process, LAW7285 Legal Research and Communication or LAW7263 Overview of Corporate Law.

If you are planning to undertake units from the Human Rights or Intellectual Property area, it would be a good idea to undertake LAW7026 Overview of international human rights law or LAW7223 Overview of intellectual property  respectively at the earliest opportunity as the 'overview' unit may be a prerequisite to other units within that specialisation.

Skills units - no more than 18 credit points may be from units on the list of 'skills units' as listed in the online Handbook.

Details of elective units can be found on 2010 Masters, Graduate diplomas and single unit enrolments timetable.
