In addition to the student eligibility criteria you must meet in order to apply for any faculty internship and STF funding you must also meet some of the following criteria and complete an STF equity grant application form [PDF] which must be submitted with your faculty managed internship application form or discretionary grant application form [PDF] in order to be eligible for equity-based funding:

Equity funding available

Equity grants will normally be in the range of $500 (minimum), $1000, $1500 or $2000 (maximum) according to the location of the internship, the number of applications, any additional host organisation support and the availability of STF funds. Where the number of applications exceeds the available funds, applications will be ranked in order of necessity by the Director International.

Equity grant application process

Students applying for an Equity Grant must undertake the following:

  • agree to complete a student internship report form [PDF] outlining the internship experiences and agree to participate in a small number of marketing and promotional activities for the Faculty which may include the publication of a student profile. This is subject to negotiation with the Faculty Marketing Manager
  • applicants who must withdraw from an internship program for unforeseen circumstances must contact the External Programs Officer in writing with a full explanation and refund all grant money from the STF back to the Faculty (where non-refundable deposits have been made, it is at the discretion of the Director International to wave refund of these costs)
