Professor Vincenzo Varano

Since 1983, after having taught at the University of Siena, he is a tenured professor of Comparative Legal Systems in the Law Faculty at the University of Florence. He has been Director of the Department of Comparative and Criminal Law, Principal of the Law Faculty and administrative advisor of the University of Florence. He has had numerous scholarship and teaching experiences in foreign universities, for the most part English and North American, and is currently member of the Global Law Faculty at New York University. He is a member of numerous Italian and international scientific associations. He is co-director of the "Journal of Civil Law" and of the series "Foreign Jurists Today" and "Comparison and Legal Culture". He is the author of numerous publications.
