Monash in Eurpope Staff Profile

Michele papa is a full time professor at the University of Florence.  He teaches Comparative Criminal law at the Faculty.  Previously he conducted research at the University of Modena.  He has been a visitor at DePaul University in Chicago and at Kings College, London.

Among his recent publications, in Italian, are ‘The Criminal Jurisdiction and the Justice of the Peace’ and ‘New laws on the production and evaluation of evidence’. 

His present research interests are on the Criminal responsibility, with particular regard to the problem of sources and liability, the proportionality principle and human rights in criminal law.  He serves on the Mission/Summit Committee of Justice without Borders.
