The Mishpatim Seminar - Israeli & International Law is offered by the Rothberg International School which is part of Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
It consists of one unit, Israeli & International Law and is taught intensively during January.
Conflict Resolution from Religious Traditions is an intensive program offered by the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and Hamline University during January.
Monash Law Faculty only recognises the 3 credit version of Conflict Resolution from Religious Traditions.
The 3 credit version has a final exam, assesses class participation and also includes an additional paper completed after students return to their home campus.
The following Mishpatim Seminar and Conflict Resolution from Religious Traditions program is only available to LLB students.
As enrolment in the Mishpatim Seminar and/or Conflict Resolution program is distinct from the normal enrolment in the Monash Exchange program, students must obtain prior approval from the faculty. The University's Credit Policy states that approval will be granted only if the student demonstrates that there is a significant educational advantage that cannot be derived from studying Monash units. An educational advantage includes being able to undertake electives in subject areas not offered at Monash which contribute to a student's career or educational objectives.
It is the responsibility of the outgoing student to supply the Faculty with an original transcript of results from the host university so that credit can be confirmed. The original transcript of the host university will show the grade allocated. The Monash transcript will show XXX Result SFR (Satisfied Faculty Requirements). As there is no mark or grade recorded on the Monash transcript, the marks actually obtained for complementary enrolment units will not be counted in the calculation of a Monash honours weighted average mark, grade point average or weighted average mark.
Failure to supply the transcript will result in a ‘Fail' result being recorded against the unit.
Where a Monash student undertakes a complementary enrolment, the student's eligibility for supplementary and deferred examinations and special consideration is determined by the rules of the host university.
Mishpatim seminar - Israeli & International Law - 6 Monash credit points
