Course advice

Who can make an appointment with a Course Advisor?

Students currently enrolled who need advice with their course progression.

Important preparation:

Prior to this appointment, you should:

  • Check your course progression against relevant course / specialisation requirements
  • Check the number of credit points completed / enrolled / required
  • Check your progress in compulsory, quasi-compulsory and / or core units
  • Check the start date of your enrolment in the course to ensure you are on track for completion within the allowable time.

To make an appointment

Undergraduate students:

  • Contact the Student Service office in the Law Faculty on (03) 9905 3300/3356 or email (with your student ID numberand a brief outline of the nature of advice needed) enquiries@law.monash.edu.au.  
  • Alternatively you may make an appointment by visiting the Law student services office front desk. 
  • Please check opening hours before coming in.

Postgraduate students:

  • Contact the relevant Postgraduate Program Coordinator in the first instance, either by email or telephone.  In addition, you may schedule an appointment to meet with them.

**RESPONSIBILITY FOR COURSE ADVICE**

Students are advised that, while the faculty will endeavour to give every possible assistance and advice concerning unit choice, the onus is on students to ensure that units selected meet the degree regulations and requirements. This is not the faculty’s responsibility and the faculty does not take any responsibility for any error in unit selection.
