Clinical legal education
As a clinical law school, the faculty is committed to providing the highest standard of legal education and training. As such, our students have the opportunity to obtain hands on practical experience through our two community legal centres. Monash-Oakleigh Legal Service (MOLS) Springvale Monash Legal Service (SMLS) Clinical Legal EducationDeveloped more than 30 years ago, the Monash Law clinical legal education program for students was the first of its kind in Australia. Under expert supervision, students work with real clients and cases, learning vital skills relating to the practice of law while providing an important service to the community. In 2009 / 2010 the following units in the Clinical Legal Education program are offered in three separate clinical periods (CPs):
*Dates are inclusive of a 2-day Introductory Program and two changeover weeks Application Forms: To apply, simply download the relevant application form below and submit to Student Services, Law Faculty, Building 12, Monash University. Application closing dates are listed on each form and census dates are listed below. It is only at the beginning of each clinical period that the application forms for the next CP will be available.
