Professor Timothy Endicott

'Habeas Corpus and Guantanamo Bay'

Timothy Endicott is Dean of the Law Faculty and Professor of Legal Philosophy at the University of Oxford. He writes on Jurisprudence and Constitutional and Administrative Law. After studying Classics and Linguistics at Harvard and Oxford, he studied Law at the University of Toronto and practised as a litigation lawyer in Toronto. He then did a DPhil at Oxford in Legal Philosophy. Professor Endicott is a Fellow in Law at Balliol College, became Chair of the Law Board in September, 2006, and Dean of the Law Faculty in October 2007.
